Many people who don’t know how to do an electronic signature often find DocuSign first, but there are many alternatives. This is full list of alternatives you should know about.

Many of the electronic signature software companies are not putting too much effort into making things clear in terms of pricing and features. So I have decided to focus on what’s important to most companies (based on a keyword research).

In additon to the obvious, common needs of customers who use e-signature solutions are the ability to enable website visitors to sign the documents on the website or app itself in the regular workflow (instead of being redirected to the e-signature solution provider’s website) and have an electronic signature in word and pdf. Other than that there are endless features the e-signature software companies will offer you, and many offer the same. It’s important to note that the ability to integrate the signature process in your app or website can come either as an iframe option, or using the API. The user experience is better with the API, but it requires upgrades. For example, with the iframe, the user will need to fill the data in the relevant fields of the agreement (like name and other personal details), as opposed to having the details pre-filled (with the API) in the agreement since the user already provided this info when they signed up to your site.

So, what are DocuSign alternatives you should consider? The big, popular DocuSign alternatives are SignNow, HelloSign, Pandadoc, and RightSignature. Of those, only RightSuignature enables you to use an iframe to embed the agreements on your site. If you are looking for a better, scalable, workflow with the API, all of them have that option. eSignGenie, which is less popular than the above, are similar to RightSignature when it comes to embedding (iframe as part of the regular plans and through the API plans) and is better priced. SignEasy and DigiSigner are less popular alternatives, but have the core features most companies need (including API integration), and are better priced for teams. Docsketch will enable electronic signature in Word and PDF documents, but has no API or embedding option. EverSign doesn’t have Word integration but does have an API. DocHub is a simple PDF-only e-signature solution with great pricing plans and ease of use (of course you can always convert Word to PDF easily and free if wish). ApproveMe is the best e-signing solution option for you if you want to enable your WordPress and WooCommerce customers to sign directly on your site.
